DEER CREEK PHASE II, UDI, POA, CLASS I, INCORPORATED “FAWN RIDGE” OWNERS REFERENCE PACKET REVISED AND EFFECTIVE 12/01/2013
Welcome to Deer Creek - Fawn Ridge
Guidelines for "Emergency Site": We currently have only one site available for "emergencies" so what should be considered an emergency and for how long?
This one site is not only for medical emergencies but also available for an emergency (this fortunately has not happened - great programming!) in the reservations System (not an owner mistake). We are not a nursing home or convalescent center. Owners need to make contingent plans with family members before arriving here for the season. A decision to convalesce here in Florida does not mean an emergency.
Compassion and caring about friends does not change the fact that we must at all times protect the right of all owners to access a site for their 2 week period.
An emergency exists when the driver is a Patient in the hospital and for 72 hours after discharge. Once the driver is driving any vehicle - it is no longer an emergency.
An emergency exists when the driver has immediate loss of Vision and/or has injury to the right leg and both bands/arms. Friends or family members need to be recruited for necessary moving or return to home.
Emergency contact information should be on file at the office for all owners. Emergency status will not be granted unless this information is on file.
If the family chooses continuing medical care in the vicinity (rather than returning home) they should be encouraged to seek residence in a park location that will allow them monthly leases and our park managers can assist them in rolling up hoses, etc. for moving.
If the family chooses to return home, one week could be allowed for family members to arrive and assist them in driving home. Commercial drivers are available. Local storage of the RV and flying home is also an option.
